just so there's no misunderstanding here with regard to the above image. it's been ridiculously hot here for weeks, we have a cacophonous deafening plague of cicadas outside screaming in waves, it hasn't rained for months (i don't think i've seen it so dry here ever) and to top it off we've had a pall of acrid smoke blanketing us for days from a bushfire. we can't sleep, everything stinks of smoke and we're slightly psychotic ... maybe the mayans were onto something when they predicted the end of the world soon!?
